Does anyone know of a product to use in order to cover the scratches that develop on the bottonm of the kayak from scraping bottom. After yakking for a few years now, there are a few scratches that I would like to repair before they penetrate deeper.

What's your kayak made of? Foot's links look like they would be suitable for royalex/plastic hulls. If your hull is kevlar and or fiberglass, try the Gougeon Bros. (West System Epoxy). Their tech support boys, are knowledgeable, and real helpful. If they can't help, nobody can.

kayak shops have kevlar keel plates for canoes and kayaks
they glue right on. originally designed for running shallow riveers

Surfbeater,
Kayak is made by Perception and is a plastic hull material.

A keel plate or skid plate might help prevent future scratches, but I'd call Perception (800-59-KAYAK) for their advice on how to deal with the ones you've already got. LOL
