Not a bad show.It was pretty dark(yeah I know it was night fishing)which takes away from from watching the Total action.I would recommend (again) showing the actual rig and the hookup of Bait(eel in this case).Just cut out a few seconds of catching one fish after another(we already know you're good)-Not great,But pretty good show
Thanks but as I explained it is not going to happen. Tying the rig, then tying it to the line then baiting the hook and then waitig for fish would take 10 minutes. TV time is too valuable to do that. The rigs diagramed are fine and will have to do:D
PS...Take away from the total action? What else did you expect to see other than drifting eels inthe Race or Gut...a lighthouse?:D wasn't the romantic moon enough? :D

The rig is already made and on the line-show it with a quick explanation and place the bait on and in it goes-Total time 1.3 minutes
Yes-I did love the moon and lighthouse (sigh)
The rig is already made and on your screen in better shape and in better clarity than you can ever expect to see with a close up of ono line. Quit looking for things to complain about:beer: :D

Lky- Is that a self portrait. LOL.
With a lively eel, it takes 2.4 Min. A dead eel, 1.9 Min. and a plastic eel, 1.375 Min. The type of rag could influence the time also.

Great Show!
I do have a question about one detail. I have heard that smacking the tail of the eel against the bait board is a good way to keep them from wrapping themselves around the line and making a mess. Did Capt. Phil do this??
It was good to have a show at a time and place that hasn't been done before. Just like the ice fishing episode, (my $.02) nice to see something a little different.
See ya out there Sunday!! (I hope)
No we did not smack the eel and many captainsI have fished with over the years have NOT smacked the eel. We want the eel alive and full of life to entice that ol' linesider!:D

Good show. I agree with the Capt. about using lighter wire hooks rather than the thicker tuna hooks.
