I HAVE A STRESS CRACK IN MY ALUMINUM HARDTOP BRACKET,WHICH GOES ALL THE WAY AROUND.I 'M TRYING TO GET SOME INFO ON TYPES OF REPAIRS AVAILABE.THE BRACKET IS MOUNTED ON BOAT.ARE THERE ANY KINDS OF EPOXYS OR BONDING AGENTS THAT MIGHT WORK FOR THIS REPAIR,OR MAYBE SOMEONE COULD RECOMMEND A MOBILE WIELDER .

Welding the repair is the only way to bond metal to metal. Even if sombody made a product that they claimed bonded metal i would be really suspicious. I've never heard of one now that i think about it.
Any local welder in your area should beable to make this repair. Just tell him its aluminum and any other info he mught need. All welders have portable tanks and equip. due to the nature of their work. They charge like plumbers. I'm guessing $150 to $200 for this repair. Good Luck.
