Need Help

Looking for put-in spots for Eastern Suffolk, North or South Shore. Have carrier for 13' cobra so distance isn't a problem. Looking especially for Shinecock area with access to flats. Have DEC parking permit & Green card. Can't afford to drive around all day looking for a spot. Need good street address for location. Thanks:confused:

How much time do you have fishing from the kayak? The reason why I ask is because the currents in and around Shinnecock Bay can be very dangerous at times especially for a kayak, you really need to know what your are doing on the kayak. Even though I have kayak fished the area many times I wouldn't recommend fishing the area if you are new to kayaking. Moriches would be a much better choice.

Thanks Stan, but I still need to know where I can park to put in. Never do more than I can handle. Have to get to know the area.

You can park/launch from the northeast side of the Ponquogue Bridge. I would'nt launch during an outgoing moon tide (full/new) as the current rips in that area. Otherwise there's very good fishing just a short paddle away.

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking for the flats as boat traffic is too hairy . Don't mind rocking around but don't want to fight a rip.
