Here’s an E Mail I received for Jofish101@aol yesterday. Unbelievable!
My friend George and I went to check out 4x4 off road beach access (the one just before OBI ) He just bought his first 4x4 truck got all the permit shovel, jack ropes everything. We drive down to the beach surf crashing down and we where in like a little cove across from Robert Moses Democrat Point so we find that it’s a dead end. George has to turn around we get stuck. He starts spinning the tires we are know sinking and then there is the surf is still coming up the truck not going anywhere.
Time to think , we forgot to let the air out of the tires the tide is about 24inches from my foot as I let the air out of the back tire.
That gets done then I do the front tire George the whole time tell how the wife is going to kill him if he drowns the truck I look back and I see the surf had just touched the back tire .George say get in and the truck moves a little then we where off.
When we were drive away I told George that I would learn how to read all there is about the tides and wind. This a true story just happened today 4/5/03 at 9-1030 this morn Rich do you give classes on read tide charts or give some information on understanding them Thank you for any help
