Well RJ, I have watched your show and it is very good, I saw the mahopac one. The Amawalk res is one of the best crappie fishing spots in westchester, but as far as any other spots you may want to look into the loacl tackle shops for more info like Bobs bait and tackle in katonah.

I had a boat on Amawalk before the dam reconstruction. Enjoyed some good Crappy , Bass and even caught some large Browns from that lake. These days, when i fish freshwater i fish mostly for trout on Croton Falls, and Cannonsville . I was thinking of putting a boat back on Amawalk to fish Bass again. Before the drawdown we caught some big football shaped Largemouths from that lake. How's the bass fishing holding up on Amawalk after the drawdown?

Well they finished all the construction last year and it was back to normal level then they let out the water again for some reason. But the bass fishing as been good well last season anyway.

Nice Bass you got there Billy. By the looks of it Amawalk Bass still have that healthy football shape look to them. For now i am going to concentrate on Trout .Haven't been out much yet due to the weather. By the time Bass season comes around i will have a boat back on Amawalk.I use to keep my boat on the North end by the inlet. Had real good luck catching Big Largemouths between the island and the North shoreline. See you up there Bass season.
