What do i need for Kayak Fishing?

Title line says it all.

I suspect i need a kayak* but what type and size for fishing in the Sound?
I've got a 98 Nissan Altima* what size can I carry on it?

Is there a place i can rent kayaks to see if I will enjoy this type of fishing?

Any used ones around?

Any information will be helpful.

Welcome!

First off Try before you buy. Don't be disapointed with your first yak. If you can swing a Hobie peddal yak it is the way to go Hands free fishing. There are many other great paddle yaks also. All of the kayak dealers have a demo day. Contact some dealers around you for info on that. After the yak or even before cold water clothing* and a PFD. The water temps in the spring are dangerously cold. Be prepaird* and be safe. Everyones got a family to go home to.
