New Jersey Fluke Regs were releasd yesterday for 2008. They are:
8 fish at 18 inches with a season from May 24th thru Sept. 7th.

Also one of the 8 fish can be used as bait(strips). I'm still not sure what this means in terms of cleaning your fish onboard private/charters.

What would you used fluke strip for? I have used other fishes to catch ling or blues but never fluke* is this a fishing secret.

A strip of the white underbelly of fluke is sometimes a killer bait. We use it on the Huntington boat sometimes.

Looks like the best way to bring home some fluke filets this year is head over to the Jersey Boats* Think thats what I'll be doing.

Got to find a party or charter on the other side of the bridge.

I like fluke fishing sometimes* but more into blackfish and porgies. But with regs being tough on the NY side on my favorite type of fishing* I agree with bassman* heading more to NJ side for more flounder fishing. Hello Capt Greg.

In NJ you are allowed to posses 1 cleaned rack among your catch of keepers.
