One of my buddies lives in Lindenhurst and can't always get too far away from the house... I was wondering if there were any good spots in or around Lindenhurst to fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure but Argyle Lake in Babylon, Belmont Lake State Park and the pond (forget the name) where Rt. 231 meets Montauk H-way.

Tubeking,
I'm actually kinda far south of LIE and NOT in Lindenhurst... one of buddies just moved there. I haven't been to his place yet, so I don't know how far he is from the LIE. I do know he is about half a mile east of Wellwood just south of Sunrise Highway.
Thanks!

if you go to the lie take it to exit 72 and head towards riverhead.the exit will take you in the direction you need to be going.go about 1/4 miles up the road i think it is 2 lights and you will see forge road on the right hand side.(if you see an ice cream parlor on your left you went way to far.)make a shapr right on to forge road (real sharp almost a u turn)and go straight.this will lead you to forge pond.as soon as u see the water there will be a dirt launch.this pond is real good at times.it becomes hard to fish in summer because all of the weeds.i will be there on 4/13 so if you can make it i will show u around.i have a partner for the day so u will have to bring your own boat.
good fishin dennis

Thanks, Dennis. I won't be able to make it out on 4/13, so I'll have to learn on my own. Appreciate the directions. Thank you again.
