Hi*
I'm new to the area and would like to do some party boat fishing.
I've never done any salt water boat fishing before.
Any good suggestions of boats/charters to fish with? I don't have much money so I'm looking more for the party boat type.
What are most people catching?
I'm in the Bridgeport area.
Thanks
Dave
It is winding down at the present time and in the Bridgeport area of CT there is not much I think except some freshwater options...unless you go north for cod

From Bridgeport your closest drive to fish is aboard the Island Current II in City Island. Through the end of January they're running marathon trips down to the ocean and have been catching blackfish and some very nice ling. In the absence of traffic it shouldn't take you more than an hour to head down there. I had the pleasure to fish with them back in November and the crew was top notch!

Thanks for the info.
If I go north for cod* where do I have to go?
Would it be worth while or would it just be a boat ride?
If I go to Island Current do they stay in the Sound or take a couple plus hour boat ride to the Atlantic?
Thanks as always
Dave
To the Atlantic....as for going north we don't endorse any boats there... in particular so just do a google search and you'll find one

The Island Current takes a 2.5 hour steam to ocean fishing spots and the boat ride down the East River is quite picturesque. Don't worry about the long ride* on their 13 hour trips you'll still get around 8+ hours to fish!
