I recently purchase a 4X4 and would like to know what types of permits I need to geton the beach. I am interested in Robert Mosses and Gilgo Beach. Is there a website that tells what permits are needed for what beaches??
Thanks

Do you know how long the permit is good for?? Is it a calender year or is it like the Empire pass and it expires either the end of March or April
Is there also something called the night fishing permit??
This is all new to me
Thanks:confused:

night fishing permit allows you to park in the lot of the state beaches and is lower in price. 4x4 permit does the same thing plus 4 wheeling. both permits expire on the 12-31.. The new permit in theory can be purchased on jan 2nd.. access to these beaches begins april 1st
www.thefishingline.com look in left border for Beach permits

I checked your site but not sure if I have it right
If I want to fish Robert Mosses* Captree* Jones Beach* Sunken Meadow a 4X4 permit ($49) will allow night fishing. Will this permit also allow me access to Democratic Point or do I need a FINS Permit ($50) too?
It seems like Gilgo Beach is out since I am not a Town of Babylon.
As a Suffolk resident I purchased a Green Key Card for the Suffolk Parks If I want 4X4 access I guess I would need to purchase an Outer Beach Sticker for ($75)
Also when Caumset park pass avaliable?
Do I have it right?

the $49 state permit allows you access to any NY State beach you can drive on including Hither Hills and it covers you for night fishing in nay state park...the FINS permit is separate

Soo....if I purchase the State Permit I can fish Robert Mosses and East of Gilgo beach. I do not need the FINS Permit unless I wantt access to Smiths Point
This is starting to make sense
Does anyone Know about Caumsett Park This is a State Park I use the Empire pass here but it seems like they have a seperate permit for fishing
Thanks for all the info
If you read my site you would have seen the fishing permit is just that...a fishing permit for night and day access to ANY NY State park beach...drive on or not...if you never drive onthe beach than the $20 permit does the same thing for parking...
you alwqays have to pay for parking if the attendants are on duty and you have NO Empire Pass.
