Here’s How it works
As many folks heard and read* Rich Johnson* CEO and host of The Fishing Line TV & Radio shows* missed his 2007 TV season and the entire fishing season for that matter* due to a major rotator cuff surgery back in April.

Rich was given the green light to start fishing again just a short 21 days or so ago* around the end of September. Rich received many well wishes* get well cards* letters and e mails through the course of his rehabilitation and he thanks his listeners and fans for their thoughts and efforts.

Rich is now back on the water with a vengeance and will be fishing hard this fall season and is now filming new episodes for his 2008 TV season. To thank his fans for their understanding and their get well wishes* Rich is putting together a series of charter fishing trips on party boats around the Island and NY Metro area and will be inviting his fans to fish on these trips for FREE!

Some of the trips will be limited to 20 or so people and others will be open for up to 50 people* all depending on the boat and fishing trip planned for that date and the age cut off is 16 years of age* not 15* not 15-1/2...and this FIRM..no execptions

These trips will be spread out around the Island to cut down on the driving time for fans wishing to fish. The first two trips are set for October 24th and October 26 on the Island Current in City Island and the Osprey in Port Jefferson. More trips to be announced

It’s easy to sign up for these FREE trips. Look at the top right hand corner of this page...for the Register button..Click that and follow the directions...it's al FREE to register..

You will receive an automated E Mail with a LINK in it. Follow the simple directions and click the link That activates your account and allows you to post reply and participate in our message boards..

Then go to the Topics of interest section of the boards and to Fishing Trips Planned It’s FREE* you just register to join and then add your name to the trip you want to go on…

YOU MUST ADD YOUR NAME BY REPLYING TO THE TRIP'S THREAD YOU WANT TO SAIL ON. Free Trip #1...Freet Trip #2 etc...

WE WIL NOT BE ADDING THE NAME FOR YOU...

Look for more trips to be added this weekend as well. This is my gift to all of you fans and I'm looking forward to fishing with as many of you as possible* so sign up quickly before all the openings are gone! There are a few guidelines though for all those wishing to fish need to follow.

• We’re trying to let as many people as possible fish.
• No more than 2 per household may sail on any trip. We can keep a stand by list in case the crowd is light for that trip* then we can make exceptions & additions. No limit to how many friends you get to sign up and sail.
• Most trips will be on a weekday…so get ready to play hooky
• You must tip the mates a minimum of $10 and more if you have fish cleaned...5
• The same people may not sail on all the trips we have planned
• We suggest you pick the specie or technique you prefer or the boat closest to where you live
• You need to register on our message boards www.thefishingline.org so we can keep track of the reservation list.
• You may sign up your friends for the trip* but they WILL have to register on the boards as well so their name can be added.
• We will be keeping a reservation list for each trip by name
• Anglers will board in the order signed up* so no need to show up hours early
• Once you've signed up for a trip* there are no cancellations to go on a different trip if another is added to the list you like.
• You can reach us by phone 516-889-6895 (BUSINESS HOURS ONLY) or e mail rich@thefishingline.com if you have any questions.

Folks* I can't hold your hand in this...I am getting too many e mails asking me to sign you up for the trips...NO GOOD!!!
