I love saltwater fishing. I watch some of the freshwater shows on TV an I wonder if you get that same feeling in your gut when you get a hit. It seems like finding the fish is fairly easy, but getting them to bite is more dufficult.

The feeling can be the same and battle as well once you scale down the tackle to our quarry:D

plenty of that too because sometimes they are right under your feet on the bank and others they hear you a mille away and you see them swimming away as you approach

RJ, I am starting to think of retirement. I have thought of leaving the island to make life easier financialy. I having thoughts of either the south or PA. Just don't know if it will work for me. What is your preference saltwater or freshwater fishing.

I cut my teeth on freshwater and growing up it was 80% fresh and 20% salt. Once I gained independence with a car the salt took over, except when I was living in KS & CO in the 70's...then it was all fresh with bass in farm ponds and channel cats in the rivers. Since I returned to NY in the early 80's it was whatever I could do when I could do it.

i have done both and for me fresh water is a whole lot harder.i have caught nice fish in both fresh and salt but i always have a greater feeling of accomplishment when i catch a freshwater fish(black bass).just my opinion
