LaFayette* NY - 7/12/07 - New York Bowhunters* Inc. (NYB) will be holding a region four 3-D shoot and rendezvous at the Green Island Rod & Gun Club* 872 Melrose Valley Falls Road Melrose* NY on Sunday August 5th. Cost for adults is $10.00* youth $5.00. Registration time starts at 7:30 am. This is the third year that the event has been held and is the region's largest NYB gathering. The event is open to all shooters with men's* women's and youth divisions for both traditional and compound shooters. Come enjoy our famous chicken BBQ and speak with vendors and outfitters in our vendor area. Merchandise is also available. Shooters who join or renew their NYB membership on the event day* can shoot for free.
New York Bowhunters* Inc. was formed in 1991 to promote bowhunting* educate hunters and non-hunters* and to fight anti-hunting legislation. NYB’s region four rendezvous helps to raise money for the various programs NYB runs throughout the year such as youth archery camps* youth hunts* their physically challenged program and supports special projects such as the “boxes for troops” and the establishment of an archery range for troops serving in Iraq.
