I thought long and hard about naming the dealer* as I wanted to keep it generic and gentlemanly* but several things happened....first I have not heard back from Gil after NUMEROUS e mails* written letters and phone calls over the last 3 weeks to a month
Second he has left the brick and mortar business and is Internet based ONLY now and thirdly...since some folks so totally and brutally abused me the last time I tried to be a gentleman about it...I figured what the hell...I'll name the dealer and give you the auction links so all you washwomen out there can go to town with what you like to do best....

I will tell you right now I am not coming back to defend myself or view this thread after posting. I gave you the full truthful story and the auctions so you know I am not dishonest as some of you hinted I might be and so those other knuckleheads won't go searching and put up the WRONG auctions like they did last time as well.
Here's the scoop....
So I work out a deal to sell my 73’ LP deluxe cherry sunburst to Southworth Guitars in MD…a dealer for $2*500* not what I was looking for* but fair and acceptable...and before the “dealer protectors” here say he gave me a great price…he has the same guitar on his site for $4*200 and another for $3*800 so he is making a good buck on our deal. I would have held out locally for more but as you know things are very slow in the market now and I needed some $$ for a 52 coming my way..
So anyway…as it happens* I see Southworth is selling a 50’s ES 335 case on E Bay so I buy it and work out the deal where Gil buys my LP and subtracts what I owe him for the case and he pays the shipping of the LP to him and he AGREES to pay the shipping for my 335 case to me since I was asking a few $$’s more on the LP which I didn't get...plus he won't pay for the guitar till it gets there...talk about a one way street??? Like to see me get a guitar first then pay a dealer later...that ain't ever happening is it?? but need I digress...back to the story
Any way I see another 335 case on his e bay listing and call Gil on that and he says it is in better shape than the one I just bought...and NO I DID NOT ASK TO RETURN or NEGATE THE FIRST CASE I BOUGHT...I made a deal on an e bay auction and I stick by it!!
So I buy the second one as well (knowing I'll move it down the line at some point) and of course we agree for Gil to subtract the cost of that case from the LP money as well and yes there was a $35 shipping charge on the second case so I say no problem…
What does he do?? You guessed it…he sends both 335 cases IN THE SAME BOX AND CHARGES ME THE $35 SHIPPING AND subtracts another $35 from the LP purchase price from the check he has to send me for the LP and claims because they were shipped together I got my free shipping on the first case!!
Nevermind the handles on both cases were shot* split with no padding on them just bare split metal and no you can't see it in the auction pics* he never mentioned in the auction or even after I asked him about the handles so he screwed me there too!
Now I just sent him a 25 pound box with an LP in it insured for $2*500 and that cost only $36.22…he sends me a box with two empty cases* which is pretty retarded in the first place...and I’m not sure if it was insured or not...but if it was…that still cost less then the shipping on the LP I sent Gil* perhaps $30 and even if it was $35* it’s the same $35 he agreed to pay for when he agreed to send the first case…to me free
I had no problem paying the $35 shipping on the second case but I thought it was COMING IN A SECOND BOX!!
Now is $35 going to break my bank?? Of course not. BUT Somehow this just ain’t right and a pretty sorry and poor display of salesmanship if you ask me…and before all the you know who dealer protectors start chiming in here about I am sooooooo hard to deal with…or you know what you’re into if you sell to thefishingline bull****…and you know who you are….
this just reeks of poor salesmanship and actually this dealer being a cheap SOB...and dishonest in his description both on E Bay and in our phone conversations....such bull****!!
