The emergency rule to implement a 2007 total allowable landing level of 17.112 million lb for summer flounder has filed at the Office of the Federal Register and will publish on January 19, 2007. The rule will be effective on publication. The commercial quota will be 10,267,098 lb, and the recreational harvest limit will be 6,844,800 lb.
The research set-aside amount will remain 389,490 lb. This action was authorized by a recent amendment to the Magnuson-Stevens Act, which was signed into
law late last week.
