Trout at North Twin in Wantagh

Does anyone know when the DEC will be stocking North Twin with trout for the autumn--if so, with how many? I know the South and Middle lakes suffered terribly during this summer's drought, but they've recovered markedly in recent weeks. I haven't got a look at North Twin in months. Is it healthy?

I got word from the DEC through their newsletter that there will be 800 Brown trout stocked by OCT. 20th and then another 700 Browns stocked by Nov 11. This will be at upper Twin Pond.

I read the stocking list on the radio show today and will have it up on the feshwater section of my web site on Monday. As for the moderator position you should call me at 516-889-6895 and I also need a freshwater editor for the web site itself.:)

Might be a better idea for the DEC to drop a truck or two of water into the ponds. ;)

The water level is very low in the lakes. :(
