Moriches Inlet:
Silly Lily Fishing Station (631-878-0247): Gary reports they are now open and ready with most of the boats in the water ready to go for flounder fishing. Last weekend they caught some flounder with the best catch at buoy 31 by Lou Macolino who had 12 flounder to 2 pounds and all were keepers and he only kept eight of them for dinner.
Most of the other boats are managing a half dozen and the fish this time of year are on the flats and you have to chum with mussels for bait as water is still cold in the mid 40’s.
Otherwise they are open everyday on a full schedule of 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with all the baits and tackle you need and ready for your patronage! On the web at www.SillyLily.com.
