The first event ever in the northeastern United States dedicated exclusively to nautical accessories will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 20-22, 2004 at the Sports Plus Event Centre in Lake Grove, New York.

Sponsored by the Association of Marine Industries (AMI) & The Fishing Line, the Nautical Accessories Show will have as its theme “Everything To Make Your Boating Better”, and will host more than 300 national and local companies. “Never before have all the latest marine accessories been on display in one huge exhibit,” says Ed Kilgus, Executive Director for AMI. “What we wanted to do was create an event with everything anyone ever wanted for their boats.”

According to Kilgus, the Show will feature cutting-edge marine products and services from the finest national and local companies. “These will be accessories the whole family can enjoy,” he says, “and the Show itself is designed to be as much fun and excitement for ‘Mom and the kids’ as for Dad. We chose Sports Plus for our Show primarily because it’s a ‘family’ place, as well as for its convenient location.”

The Sports Plus Event Centre is on Route 347 in Lake Grove, next to the Smithhaven Mall. The Nautical Accessories Show hours will be 4:00-10:00pm on Friday, February 22, 10:00-10:00 on Saturday, and 10:00am-6:00pm on Sunday the 22nd. Admission for adults is $9.00; there is no charge for children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult. There will be ample free parking all three days, and refreshments will be available for the entire family.
