I am going on my first big fishing trip in Montauk with some friends and Capt Fritz on Sunday October 13th. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect as far as types of fish running at that time? Will big fish such as stripers still be feeding on schools of bait fish? I know to bring warm weatherproof clothes for the trip. I am a casual surfcaster mostly summer due to work schedule and this is my first "Big" boat fishing trip. Any information is appreciated.
This time of year always holds the possibilty of big fish and you never know in this area. Are you trolling parachutes, drifting eels? Chunking? Either way you have the possibility of a great time. good luck.

Sudsman,
If it's a night trip I would expect him to be using eels. A day trip would probably be either eels, diamond jigs or trolling.
Good luck! Let us know how you make out!
